BC Wedding Photographer // Second Shooting

This summer I had the opportunity to second shoot for some pretty wonderful people. I love second shooting because it gives me the opportunity to interact and learn from other photographers, and there is a lot less pressure so I can have some fun with different angles and details. Loved all of the weddings I second shot this year, but here are a few of my favourites.

I’ll start with Meghan’s weddings. Meghan and I shot together a ton this summer and it was SO fun. This was our third summer shooting together and I am already looking forward to next year so much.

Cory + Nicole (with Meghan Bustard Photography)

This intimate Fort Langley Little White House wedding was the last wedding of the season for both of us, and it was pretty perfect. Loved all the details, the people, and the location. SO beautiful.

Colin + Karlee (with Meghan Bustard Photography)

These two were amazing. They are both so kind and their friends and family are equally kind. Their wedding was one of my favourites this summer. Also we took golden hour photos in a pumpkin patch and I loved it so much!

Brandon and Christy (with Meghan Bustard Photography)

These two were so fun. They also had a hilarious bridal party! Loved their photos in a lavender field. They totally rocked it despite the heat and bees!

Greg and Amanda (with Meghan Bustard Photography)

This two got married in Tsawwassen and we took photos at Centennial Beach – one of my favourite spots in the Lower Mainland. I adore the colours and the plants and the sand and the ocean. Also how beautiful is Amanda’s dress?! So great.

A fun Langley wedding with the cutest ring bearer ever!

Daniel and Kara (with Meghan Bustard Photography)

Fun little connection with Kara – we worked at the same summer camp! When she was on staff I was in my last years of being a camper and it was so fun to be able to see her get married. Loved Dan and Kara’s wedding day. It was one of the first of the season and such a great start to the summer.

Shane and Shauna (with Laura-Anne Photography)

Okay, next up is the wedding I shot with Laura! We road-tripped through the mountains to Green Lake. This wedding was such a good time, with everyone camping on Shauna’s parents property, where the wedding and ceremony were also held. We took pictures in the grasslands a few km away, and it was magical. Seriously a dream. I love destination weddings so much!

Cam and Joelle (with Patchwork Media)

Loved this stunning Harrison wedding with Kylie from Patchwork media. First of all, Kylie is seriously the sweetest and I loved spending the day with her. Second of all, Cam and Joelle were amazing and their wedding was so beautiful, overlooking the mountains and the river. It was one of the hottest days of the year but SO worth it.

I am so grateful for this amazing wedding season, with a grand total of 15 weddings. I have met so many amazing couples between the beginning of March and the end of September and have gotten to work with some pretty spectacular photographers. SO thankful that this is what I get to do with my camera.

I am now booking for the 2015 wedding season. Email me at michelle@michellekarstphotography.com and we’ll go for coffee {my treat} to chat more about YOUR big day!
