We ended our time in Ireland with a few days in Cork City and the Ring of Kerry. Every country we have visited has been amazing but I think that Ireland has definitely been my favourite. The people were above and beyond hospitable, so proud of their island and eager to help us get the most out of our experience. The history and the stories were fascinating. And, the countryside was beautiful. It reminded me a little bit of home with all of the green and that was really nice! I would LOVE to go back, rent a car, and explore the island for a lot longer… maybe someday! Make sure you check some photos from County Galway, County Clare, and County Mayo here! From Cork, we made our way to Scotland! We only had a couple of nights in Scotland and it was definitely not enough time but we managed to fit a fair bit in. We went for a short hike and explored the city of Edinburgh. Huge thanks to our new friends Simon + Julita (and kids) for hosting us. You made our short time in Scotland so memorable and we loved our time with you! And thank you to my sweet Canadian friend Deborah (who is currently studying in Edinburgh) for taking an evening off from your crazy schedule and showing me around the city. Love you!
From Scotland we made our way to England. We spent a couple of nights in Cambridge and are currently exploring London. More on that soon. Make sure you follow along on instagram (@michellekarst) to see more photos + thoughts from our adventures! #karsttwinstakeeurope
IRELAND (first photo is a shot of Cobh – pronounced Cove – just outside of the city Cork. The second photo is also from Cobh at the Titanic memorial garden).
