My plan was to do a blog post at the end of every country we visit but Ireland is too beautiful and I couldn’t resist sharing a few photos from the first portion of our time here. I fell in love with this country the minute we stepped off the plane. Every single person we have encountered has been unbelievably friendly and kind. We caught a train from Dublin to Oranmore (a small town just outside of Galway), arriving at around 8pm. My iPhone map was a little off in where it thought that the train station was in relation to our B&B, and after walking a couple of km in the wrong direction, we turned around and walked another 4 or 5 km in the right direction, finally arriving at our B&B close to 10pm. We were warmly greeted by our host, Maureen, with tea and sandwiches and since the B&B wasn’t full, she offered us our own rooms as opposed to the twin room we requested out of the goodness of her heart. All weekend she has gone above and beyond in helping us and helped us plan some tours to make the most of our time in County Galway. We saw some major sights (i.e., the cliffs of moher) but we also go to see the beautiful countryside. If you are looking for a place to stay in this area, the Hillview B&B got a 5 star rating from us!
We are so sad to be leaving this lovely place but are excited to head to Cork in the morning to see more of the Emerald Isle! Follow along on instagram (@michellekarst) to see more of our adventures! #karsttwinstakeeurope
Any Princess Bride fans out there? We loved seeing the Cliffs of Insanity!
